Car up in flames on Hwy. 252 was stolen from Whycocomagh

A stolen vehicle was found in Inverness Co. this week, but it was burnt.

RCMP say on August 9th a call came in around 5:50 p.m. reporting a missing rig in Whycocomagh.

Police say later that day at 11:15 p.m. reports came in saying a car was on fire in Skye Glen.

Local fire departments were called to the scene on Hwy. 252 but the vehicle burned to the ground.

RCMP confirm it was the same rig that was stolen from Whycocomagh and the investigation is ongoing.
