Voluntary water conservation measures in Antigonish

The town of Antigonish is asking you to conserve water.

In a post on social media, Monday, the Town says the continuing hot weather has impacted the water levels at the James River Dam.

In addition to that, there is no significant rainfall expected for the next two weeks.

Even though the conservation measures are voluntary, the Town strongly encourages you to use water wisely, when possible.

“This includes reducing non-essential water usage such as lawn watering, car washing, and filling pools,” says the Town.

Conservation measures are in effect as of 12 p.m., Monday.
