Suspect at large after armed attack in We’koma’q, police say no threat to public

A suspect remains at large in the We’koma’q community after an assault that resulted in serious injuries.

RCMP say they got the call around 4 a.m., Monday, involving two people who know each other.

The community was put under a hold and secure around 10 a.m., however by 10:30 a.m., RCMP say the weapon was seized.

Police say they want to talk to the suspect and do not believe there is any risk to the public.

If you see any suspicious activity, police ask you to report it to them.
