Wind warning for northern Inverness County

It is going to be a windy night for parts of the Quad Counties.

A Les Suêtes wind warning has been issued for Inverness County – Mabou and north.

Environment Canada says a short period of strong southeasterly winds will occur on Sunday evening.

“Wind gusts are expected to exceed 100 km/h for a brief period tonight, likely ending before midnight,” said the warning.

Les Suêtes wind warnings are issued when there is a significant risk of damaging winds.
