Work on Baddeck’s waterfront begins

Waterfront improvements in Baddeck are beginning.

It involves a complete restructuring of the boardwark, and replacement of a culvert linking a pond to Bras d’Or Lake.

The new boardwalk is going to have more space for walking and seating, and will be raised to avoid high water levels.

The $2.9 million project is being funded by all three levels of government.

Construction should be done in October.
