The Cape Breton West U18 Major Islanders have completed the regular season, and as they prepare for their playoff series with the Cole Harbour Wolfpack this coming weekend, the League has handed out awards.
Jack Hayne, who led the League in goals with 27 in 38 games, was selected a 1st Team All-Star Forward.
Luke MacEachern, who led the league with 34 assists in 38 games, was also selected a 1st Team All-Star Defenseman.
Rhyah Stewart, the Islanders backstop, was selected a 2nd Team All-Star Goaltender.
Liz MacDonald, one of our team Directors, was the recipient of the Islanders Volunteer of the Year Award.
The Islanders begin the best of five playoff series in Cole Harbour this Saturday and Sunday, before returning home next Friday to continue the series.
