Police in Cape Breton have found a body in the Sydney River.
The Cape Breton Regional Police got a call Friday evening about what they believed was a body floating in the water near the shoreline in the area of Rose Street.
The forensic unit and the Medical Examiner’s Office surveyed the scene, and police say there is nothing to suggest the person died by foul play.
The medical examiner will perform an autopsy to determine the person’s identity and cause of death.
