Aerial firefighting – cockpit view

The wildfires in California continue to burn out of control with at least 25 people dead and more than 6 million people in Southern California under a critical fire threat according to CNN this morning.

Fire crews are fighting the blaze with various resources including aerial firefighting. Canada has sent ‘super scooper’ planes from Quebec to aid with the effort and now Coulson Aircrane Ltd, a family company based in Port Alberni, British Columbia, has joined them.

The video below gives us a view from the cockpit as pilots drop water over the Palisades fire.
