Watch for crosswalk changes in Town of Antigonish

A project is getting underway to improve pedestrian safety in the Town of Antigonish.

According to a public notice, a new crosswalk with a concrete bump-out will be installed at the Shoppers Drug Mart driveway on Main Street.

Existing crosswalks at Acadia Street and by the library will be removed.

Be prepared for temporary disruptions and minor delays during the work.

The town says traffic control measures will be in place to help reduce impacts, and every effort will be made to maintain safe access throughout.

Preparation work begins Monday with completion expected by the end of September.
