58-year-old killed in crash in James River

Antigonish County District RCMP is investigating a fatal head-on collision that occurred near exit 30 in James River.

It happened on Saturday at 4:30 p.m., on Highway 104.

 

The driver of one of the vehicle, a 58-year-old Lower South River man, sustained significant injuries. He was taken to hospital by ambulance where he later died.

The driver of the other vehicles, a 21-year-old Trenton woman, suffered serious injuries.

A collision reconstructionist attended the scene and the investigation is ongoing.
