New Year’s Safety Tips

The RCMP is reminding people to plan for New Year’s Eve and to celebrate responsibility.

If you plan on consuming alcohol never drive intoxicated, use a designated driver, or stay overnight until you are sober. Designated drivers are reminded to drive according to the road conditions and to follow the posted speed limits. Winter weather and slippery roads can affect driving conditions. You are also encouraged to call the police if you know or suspect that someone is driving under the influence.

The RCMP would like to wish everyone a safe and happy new year.
