The Pictou County Scotians hockey team issued a statement in response to culturally inappropriate remarks made during Sunday night’s game.
A commentator made the undesirable comments towards the referee and the opposing team.
The Scotians were playing the Eskosoni Eagles.
The organization condemned the language used and the commentator will not be allowed to take part in any future streams.
They want to make it clear that they believe in inclusiveness, and they apologize to the Eagles and to those that may have been offended.
