An Inverness County youth is participating in the 2018 TransCan Grand National Motocross Championship in Walton, Ontario.
Nine-year-old Hunter MacDonald of Port Hood advanced to the national event after winning his third consecutive Motorsport Racing Canada Atlantic region championship in the 50cc division in July at Meadow Motocross Park in Halifax.
The national event begins Tuesday and runs until Friday.
