47th Annual Boat Parade

Thirty-five boats participated in the 47th Annual Boat Parade, Sunday afternoon, led by Tiger II. It’s to remember lost fishermen and women.

The boats circled Canso Harbour before sailing to the Chedabucto Bay. All Saints Anglican Church read a special prayer broadcasted to the boats. The boats then laid wreaths and flowers at sea, following a moment of silence.

The wreaths were laid by:

King Lion Barry Lumsden and Lions Ray White from the Canso Lions Club
Lay Minister Vonda George card for area clergy
Captain Cory McKenzie and Lion Priscilla McKenzie
