Local magazine in Inverness County now online

Residents of Inverness County will now be able to access a well-loved local magazine, anywhere.

The Participaper, produced by the Minicipality of Inverness County, now has a home online.

It’s where you’ll find all the things you love about the magazine including stories, photography, up-to-date information, as well as well as web-only content covering themes and
stories that Inverness County people care about.

In a statement, the County said the launch of participaperonline.ca is good news for the promotion of the County’s diverse cultures by making a space for content in other languages than English, that are represented in the area.

There will be 10 content sections including heritage, communities, health and wellness, Cape Breton economy, nature and more.

It’s inclusive and has something for every type of reader.

“The Participaper is a long-established, recognizable and well-loved brand in the InvernessCounty. It’s unique amongst municipal periodicals in Nova Scotia for its high-quality production
values, storied history and range and quality of contents,” said Keith MacDonald, Chief Administrative Officer of the municipality.

Now that the magazine, is online, it can even be accessed for residents who are away, as a ‘taste of home’.

The County says thanks to an enormous effort by staff, you can now consult almost the entire archive dating back to 1979.
