Wildfires remain out of control in the Northwest Territories and British Columbia

Wildfires are still raging in the Northwest Territories and are about 15km away now from Yellowknife.

However, Prime Minister Justin Trudeau says critical infrastructure remains intact.

There are 237 active fires in the Territory and they have grown to 3,432,835 Ha. and many areas have been evacuated, but some remain of the 20,000 ordered to leave the capital city.

The government page for the Northwest Territories has all of the updated information, as well as the Facebook page.

As for the British Columbia wildfires, they have put the province into a provincial state-of-emergency, with more than 370 active fires.

Trudeau says the military is on the ground and that Ottawa will continue to be there.

A message from the King

King Charles said in a tweet that he and wife Camilla are desperately concerned about the wildfire situation in our country.
