The New Waterford and District Community Centre has officially opened for the 2023-24 ice rental season, marking its 49th year in operation.
Like previous years, it will be home to New Waterford’s Minor Hockey Association and local Skating Club.
The Cape Breton Blizzard Female Hockey Association will also use ice time at the arena this year.
The venue also hosts several recreational hockey leagues, including the Cape Breton Gentlemen’s Hockey League.
