Tree Walk??

January 2021 update: they plan to have it open July 1, 2021!

Ski Cape Smokey in Ingonish Beach has been sold for $370,000.

The property sits on about 400 acres of land, has a lodge and a chairlift. The new owners have some exciting plans for it that will turn it into a year round tourist attraction.

The private-sector group that bought it (Cape Smokey Holding Ltd) plan to update the ski hill. How will they make it a 4 season attraction? That comes from something called a Tree Walk.

Joseph Balaz, president of Cape Smokey Holding Ltd, says “We would like to turn this into one of the major destinations on the Cabot Trail where people would stop, take the gondola, go up and spend a couple of hours walking around a tree walk”

Look at that thing! It looks amazing!
