Dorian closed roads and power outages continue in the Quad Counties

Hurricane Dorian hit the Quad Counties hard.

The storm made landfall with strong winds and heavy rain.

Trees were knocked down which caused widespread power outages and roads to be closed.

Most businesses in the Quad Counties were shut down by 5 p.m. on Saturday as the storm started to make an impact.

Many remained closed on Sunday due to the power outages.

Nova Scotia Power says restoration times are between 11 a.m. on Tuesday and 11 p.m. on Thursday.

With the long power outages many local fire halls and community centres opened their doors as warming and charging stations.
