Mabou extremely low on water

A community in the Quad Counties is extremely low on water.

Inverness Co. officials say the Mabou water levels are so low they cannot provide fire protection.

They are asking users of the Mabou water system to strictly conserve water until otherwise directed.

Officials say to do the following to conserve water:

– Do not wash your vehicles, houses, boats, trucks or trailers

– Do not take baths or long showers

– Use bottled water for tooth brushing and consumption

– Avoid washing clothes and do not run your dishwasher.

Inverness Co. officials are asking you to share this message with neighbours.

They say the shortage is due to a power outage on Saturday.
