18-year-old facing charges after axe assault in Victoria County

RCMP say it was January 31 around 4p.m. at a home on Fraser Rd. when two men who know each other, got into a verbal fight.

That’s when one hit the other with an axe.

The victim, a 32-year-old Victoria County man, was hurt and taken to hospital.

The suspect is an 18-year-old man from Bay St. Lawrence and is facing charges including aggravated assault and assault with a weapon.

He will be in court today in Port Hawkesbury.
