We took a mini vacation earlier this week & only had to go about 90 minutes from home. We booked a campsite at Lake O’Law for 2 nights. The area is gorgeous!
On the first night, we took a drive as far as Cheticamp. I haven’t been there in years so it was like visiting for the first time again. Along the way, we stopped a few times to admire the stunning views.
The next day we went tubing on the Margaree River. We booked the trip with Live Life InTents.
This was a total bucket list item for me & I highly recommend! First of all – the Margaree River is STUNNING!
I’ll give you a short review in case you’re curious. We went with my 8 year old son and 2 other kids (8 & 6)
We found it great for kids. It’s a slow float in very sturdy tubes. There are some areas where you get stuck on the shore and need to be able to maneuver yourself. I will caution you that it’s easy to get separated so you should be prepared for that & feel confidant that your child can handle themselves. Overall, very fun experience.
