New dime design celebrates the 100th Anniversary of the Bluenose

The Royal Canadian Mint has released a limited edition dime in celebration of the 100th anniversary of the launch of Bluenose.

The Bluenose has been on our dime since 1937.

The artist who designed the new dime is Yves Bérubé who is based, fittingly, in Lunenburg. The engraved portrait shows Bluenose under full sail and heeled to port on the open ocean. The dime is available with color and not. I personally prefer the blue!
