Snow squall watch in effect

You may want to check the weather before hitting the roads in Antigonish or Inverness counties on Saturday.

Environment Canada has issued snow squall watches for both.

Flurries are expected to develop over eastern Nova Scotia and Western Cape Breton tonight, becoming more frequent and heavy on early Saturday.

We could see between 15 and 25 cm, coming in bands of snow that can reduce visibility suddenly, or even cause complete whiteouts.
