Chief Tma Francis re-elected, two new councillors after Paqtnkek election

Paqtnkek Mi’kmaw Nation went to the polls earlier this week.

Community members casts their ballots to choose their new band council.

Chief Tma Francis was reelected his position; four incumbent councillors were also re-elected: Judy Bernard-Julian, Anne Marie Paul, Jeremy Paul, Kelly Prosper.

Two members were added to council after results from Tuesday election were announced.

Cory Julian and Robert Phillip Pictou both nabbed councillor seats.
