There are now three candidates in Port Hawkesbury’s mayoral race.
In a Facebook post, Archie MacLachlan announced Tuesday that he’s running.
He was defeated by the current mayor, Brenda Chisholm Beaton in the last election.
Mayor Chisolm-Beaton has announced she’s seeking a third term and Councillor Jason Aucoin put his name forward earlier this month.
According to Elections Nova Scotia, nominations can be filed from August 29th to September 10th.
The municipal election will be October 19th.
