On December 29, the New Brunswick RCMP arrested 27 year old Shawn Kenneth Hughes, of South Branch, who was the subject of a Nova Scotia wide arrest warrant.
Colchester County District RCMP has been collaborating with the New Brunswick RCMP to further its investigation and as a result, the New Brunswick RCMP Emergency Response Team executed a search warrant on December 29.
Police say they located Hughes inside the home and he was arrested safely.
Hughes was wanted in relation to a number of offences, including, arson, assault and uttering threats for incidents that occurred between April and December 2021 in the Colchester area.
Colchester County District RCMP say they will be returning Hughes back to Nova Scotia to appear in Truro Provincial Court.
