ECRL branches launch food security survey, gift cards to be won

It’s a chance to win some cash for groceries and help shed light on food challenges across the region.

The Eastern Counties Regional Libraries has launched a survey to gather local input on growing your own food.

Filling it out could win you a $100 grocery gift card, with ten available to win.

It comes after ECRL received nearly $60,000 from the province earlier this year to support food initiatives.

They used the money to create seed libraries at all branches so you can grow your own vegetables and herbs.

Board Chair for ECRL, Clair Rankin says, “There is so much local expertise and knowledge in this area regarding growing food to support our families and our communities I encourage everyone to complete the survey to help the library make a real difference.”

The survey launched August 23 closes September 30.
