RCMP are seeking the public’s help with an investigation in Marie Joseph in Guysborough County.
They say they received a call on January 8 around 2:15pm about a dog that had been shot.
Police say the dog had been shot the night of the 7th when the owners weren’t home.
A neighbour found the dog after it had succumbed to its injuries.
Guysborough County District RCMP are asking anyone who was in the areas of Highway 7 or Bakers Rd. in Marie Joseph, or who heard gun shots between 9 p.m. and 11 p.m. on January 7 in the area to contact them at 902-522-2200 or call crime stoppers.
The investigation is ongoing.
