Inverness County District RCMP say they have arrested a man and a woman for firearms offences after executing a search warrant at a home in Glenora Falls.
They say on January 29 police began an investigation after receiving information of the unsafe storage of firearms at a home in Glenora Falls.
On February 3 police arrested a 43-year-old Glenora Falls man without incident in Mabou.
Police then executed a search warrant at a home on Glenora Falls Rd.
Police arrested a 29-year-old Glenora Falls woman without incident at the home. during the search, police located and seized 11 unrestricted firearms, one restricted firearm, two replica firearms and ammunition.
The man and woman were both released on conditions and they will be facing charges of Careless Storage of a Firearm, Possession of a Restricted Firearm Knowing its Possession is Unauthorized, Possession of a Restricted Firearm with Ammunition and Tampering with a Firearm’s Serial Number.
They will both appear in Port Hawkesbury Provincial Court on March 28.
