Eskasoni Student Wins Nova Scotia Power Bursary

A student from Eskasoni has a reason to celebrate.

Keeshia Bernard, received the Mi`kmaq Bursary as part of Nova Scotia Powers scholarship and bursary program.

Bernard is enrolled in the Bachelor of Mi`Kimaq Social Work program at St Thomas University and plans to continue her education in social work.

She also hopes to be a role model for foster children.

Nova Scotia power offers scholarships and bursaries to students that have demonstrated proven commitment to growth and leadership.
