Province of Nova Scotia reviewing new COVID booster shot recommendations

Nova Scotia is set to review new recommendations on COVID-19 booster doses.

The National Advisory Committee on Immunization issued new guidance recommending that high risk individuals should receive another booster shot this spring.

The province is expected to make an announcement regarding these recommendations in the coming weeks.

For the timing being, Nova Scotia Health encourages everyone five and older who has not received either their primary series or their COVID-19 booster/fall doses since September 19th, 2022 to get vaccinated. Children 5 months to 5 years remain eligible for their primary series.

More information on COVID vaccines is available on Nova Scotia Healths Website: COVID-19 vaccine
