Visitors to N.S. up 14 percent in 2023

The number of visitors to our province was up in 2023.

The province says 2.2 million people travelled to Nova Scotia, that’s up 14 percent from the year before.

The number of visitors from Ontario, Western Canada and overseas saw growth.

Tourism minister Allan MacMaster says they’re working closely with operators and communities to keep momentum going for this year.

Visitation was still six percent below pre-pandemic numbers.

That’s due to a softer recovery of tourists from Atlantic Canada and the U.S.
