St. Peter’s gets federal funding for community hub

A new community hub for St. Peter’s.

Ottawa is giving $200,000 to the village for renovations at an unused building on Main Street.

The facility will house a library, visitor information centre and fitness centre.

The upgrades include a third-level entrance, new walls, washrooms and other upgrades.

Cape Breton-Canso MP Mike Kelloway says the new hub will give locals and visitors a great place to come together to connect and learn.

The work is expected to be finished in March.
