March 13, 1962 – May 18, 2026

We, the family, are saddened to announce the passing of our brother, Brian on May 18, 2026, at the Richmond Villa, with his sister Denise and his Villa family by his side. Brian was born on March 13, 1962, in Halifax, to parents May (Levy) Walkden, Rockdale, Cape Breton, and Walter (Wally), PEI, (both parents deceased).

Brian’s many interests included sports, music and wildlife shows. He was also a fan of the Montreal Canadians,the Toronto Blue Jays and the New York Giants. Brian started working in his teens at the Spryfield Rink and worked many other jobs over the years. Brian had a heart of gold and was always helping everyone out. Would give you the shirt off his back, literally. Brian is survived by his only child, Tara Ann (Shannon), Spryfield; siblings Denise (Nelson), L’Ardoise; Jimmy, Rockdale; and Joey (Tetra), Yellowknife. Also by nieces and nephews Travis (Samantha), Kaily, Tanner, Darius, Avionna and Melody. Pre deceased by his parents and brother Rick (Audrey), Halifax.

There will be no visitation or service as per Brian’s wishes. Donations in Brian’s memory can be made to the L’Ardoise Volunteer Fire Department. The Walkden family extends sincere gratitude to the Richmond Villa staff for their care and compassion shown to Brian over the last six years. Thank you to all that sent condolences.
