Man arrested following firearms complaint has case adjourned

A suspect facing a number of charges in relation to a firearms complaint in Inverness Co. has had his case adjourned.

Robert MacDonald, 20, has been charged with a number of offences, including possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, assault with a weapon and break-and-enter.

The Port Hastings man, whose case opened in August, was expected for election-and-plea in Port Hawkesbury Provincial Court Monday; it was adjourned until Jan. 29.

His hearing was also adjourned in September, October and November.

Police say they received a call a man pointed a firearm at someone at a home in Port Hastings in July.

They say they determined it was a pellet gun.
