Canso native dies in Motorcycle Crash

A man who died in a motorcycle accident on Saturday has been identified as a native of Canso.

Lloyd Frederick Munroe of Eastern Passage was driving his motorcycle near Tatamagouche when police say it collided with a car.

Colchester District RCMP responded to a call about the crash on Highway 311 just after one o’clock on Saturday.

They say Munroe died at the scene.

According to the RCMP, the 46-year-old woman driving the car was transported to hospital with non- life-threatening injuries and later released.

Celebration of Life service for Munroe will be held in Canso on Sunday.

Munroe was one of three people who died in motorcycle collisions on the weekend.
