Former Port Hawkesbury resident dies in motorbike mishap

A former Port Hawkesbury resident has died in hospital following a motorcycle crash.

33 year-old Michael John Boudreau of Halifax died in the Queen Elizabeth II Health Sciences Centre following the Saturday mishap.

RCMP responded a call around 5:20 p.m.on St. Margarets Bay Road in Timberlea and found Boudreau and the motorcycle on the ground of a nearby parking lot.

They say he was taken to hospital but later died of his injuries.

A funeral for Boudreau, who leaves behind a young son will be held on Friday morning from St Joseph’s Church in Port Hawkesbury.

Police say an investigation into the crash is ongoing.
