Eleven community groups in Guysborough County will benefit from the Provincial Wellness Fund.
Grants were awarded by the Nova Scotia Health Authority and the Department of Health and Wellness to non-profit organizations working to improve health.
The Guysborough County Community Health Board recognized recipients including Schools Plus Guysborough County, Eastern Communities Youth Association and Canso Area Shamrock Club.
Community Health Board chair Mary Desmond says the diversity in the applications from local organizations covered all our priorities of the collaborative community health plan.
