StFX has released their athletes of the week.
X-Men basketball forward Atik Gilaol was named the StFX Male Athlete of the Week.
In Friday’s loss to memorial, he scored 19 points, 4 rebounds and 1 steal.
On Saturday he had a team high 23 points.
Another basketball player is the StFX Female Athlete of the Week.
Antigonish’s Brianna Gottschall received the title.
She had 15 points and 10 rebounds against Memorial on Friday.
Gottschall scored a team-high 15 points, along with 6 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 steal in a loss to Memorial on Saturday.
