The warden of Inverness Co. says more work will be needed at the site of the Captain’s River Bridge in Harbourview.
Betty Ann MacQuarrie says installation of a Bailey bridge is done, but there will likely be a continuation of work in the spring and summer.
MacQuarrie tells The Hawk she doesn’t know what the exact plans are for the upcoming construction season, but she’s pretty sure more changes will be made.
“It is kind of a dangerous curve,” she says. “All the flashing lights are still there to maintain safety for now.”
MacQuarrie says there were a lot of delays, and the project took time.
She says the Bailey bridge was put in to address plowing concerns for the winter, but it should eventually be replaced.
