Peace by Chocolate supports fundraiser after house fire kills seven children

A local chocolate company is supporting a fundraiser for the family that were victims of a deadly house fire.

Antigonish based Peace by Chocolate has donated cases of chocolate bars to Vandal Doughnuts in Halifax.

The donut shop is donating the proceeds of all sales on Thursday to the family.

The company was expected to sell about 3,000 doughnuts.

Seven children, aged from a few months to the mid-teens, died early Tuesday.

The children’s father remains in critical condition.

A GoFundMe page has raised over $450,000.

The Syrian family arrived in our province in September 2017 as refugees.
