The Richmond Academy Hurricanes host the SAERC Saints in a winner-take-all, one-game final for the 2018-19 Cape Breton West High School Hockey League title.

The Hurricanes (11-2-2), who finished the regular season first in the five-team league with 34 points, defeated Dalbrae in their two-game, first-round series to advance; the Saints (8-4-3), who were third with 24 points, beat Inverness-Baddeck Academy in the semi-finals.

SAERC won three of the four games in the season series between the teams; all four games were decided by one goal, with three of the four needing extra time to determine a winner.

Puck drop at the Richmond Arena in Louisdale is 7:30 p.m.

St. Andrews’ Declan Smith and the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles visit Pleasant Valley’s Jacob Hudson, Antigonish’s Jake and Sean Stewart and the Moncton Wildcats in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League.

The Screaming Eagles (36-21-5), winners of three of their last four, are tied with Charlottetown for sixth in the 18-team league with 77 points, 11 points behind Rimouski for fifth, and a point ahead of the eighth-place Wildcats (34-20-8).

It’s the second half of a home-and-home series- Moncton won the opener 10-3 in Sydney Sunday.

This will be the ninth and final regular season game between the Maritimes Division opponents; they’ve split the first eight.

Game time is 7 p.m.
