A member of the StFX men’s hockey team has signed a professional contract.
Chase Marchand, a goaltender with the X-Men, has agreed to a deal with the Indy Fuel of the ECHL.
The Fuel are the Chicago Blackhawks’ ECHL affiliate; Marchand attended Chicago’s development camp in July.
He spent three seasons at StFX; he was named AUS MVP and the U Sports goaltender of the year following the 2017-18 season.
