Historical sexual assault case adjourned again

A suspect charged following an investigation into historical sexual assault in Richmond Co. is scheduled to return to court in the summer.

RCMP say it happened in different areas of Isle Madame in the 1970s.

Adolphe Patrick Kehoe, 85, of River Bourgeois has been charged with sexual assault; he was released from custody.

Kehoe’s case opened in court in August; he was expected for election-and-plea in Port Hawkesbury Provincial Court Monday.

Instead, his lawyer said he needed more time, and the hearing was adjourned until June 24; it was also adjourned in January.

The hearing was adjourned two other times- in September and December- when his lawyer said his client was in hospital.
