Richmond Co. warden says Arichat facade work should start soon

The warden of Richmond Co. says the main street in Arichat will start to see some differences soon.

Jason MacLean says work will continue through the summer.

Arichat’s Main Street will have new sidewalks, a fresh streetscape and a façade improvement.

The MP for Cape Breton-Canso Rodger Cuzner made the funding announcement in January.

MacLean tells The Hawk work will start soon.

“Sidewalks is slated I believe to start happening sometime in the spring and some of the facade work itself as well” he said. We’re hoping that now that the weather seems to be clearing up a little bit, that we’ll start to see some results on the main street in Arichat.”

MacLean says the facade improvements will wrap up in the fall.
