Driver in Antigonish Co. crash dies of injuries

A man taken to hospital following a crash in Antigonish Co. has passed away.

RCMP say the single-vehicle crash happened on East Tracadie Rd. at roughly 8:20 a.m. Wednesday.

They say the driver, who was the only person in the truck, went off the road; paramedics took him to St. Martha’s Regional Hospital in Antigonish with serious injuries.

A collision reconstructionist was called in.

The victim’s name hasn’t been released at this point; it’s believed he was from Monastery and he was 55.
