There were some local winners at the Destination Eastern and Northumberland Shores gala awards dinner.
The awards were presented at Glasgow Square in New Glasgow.
Keppoch Mountain in Beaver Meadow, Antigonish Co. won the Mike Broomfield- Rising Star Award.
Guysborough Co.’s Out of the Fog Lighthouse Museum in Halfway Cove received the Chief Experience Opportunity Award; Steinhart Distillery in Arisaig took home the Craft Beverages Award.
The Bonvie-MacDonald Rinks to Links Golf Tournament in Antigonish was the co-winner of the Carlton Munroe Festival and Event Award, while the Sports Impact Award went to the 2018 Special Olympics National Summer Games in Antigonish.
