Federal officials provide $96,000 to local co-op

Members of a local co-op are getting close to $100,000 in federal funding.

Officials with the federal government are providing $96,000 for the Cape Mabou Pasture Co-op.

They say the funding will help co-op members buy new equipment and make infrastructure upgrades to attract new members and grow the sustainable livestock sector.

Cape Mabou Pasture Co-operative members offer pasture services to small cattle producers across the Atlantic region who don’t have access to prime pasture land.
