Local MLA has until June 20 to make office accessible

A Cape Breton MLA has been given a strict deadline to comply with provincial accessibility requirements.

Cape Breton-Richmond MLA Alana Paon has been given until June 20, by the house of assembly management commission, to have her constituency office driveway paved.

The driveway can be fully paved, partially paved, or the building can have a concrete pad installed.

If Paon doesn’t comply with the order by June 20, she will no longer have rent on the office paid by the province.
